In the village of Veendam, located in the rural north-eastern part of The Netherlands, veteran Bert Nanninga wants to create a meeting place for vets. Together with other veterans a house is restored under the motto ‘five minutes work, fifteen minutes break’ . A replica of an UNIFIL checkpoint is built for the grand opening of De Molenhoeve. The lads each have their own war experiences. When the man is out of the war, the war is by no means out of the man.
